Climate Policy Radar appoints Dr Charles Ogilvie OBE as Board Chair

This week, Climate Policy Radar announced Dr Charles Ogilvie OBE as the inaugural Chair of its board. Currently serving as Executive Director and a Co-Founder of Ocean Energy Pathway (OEP). Charles brings to CPR unrivalled experience in driving innovation and progress within the energy and climate sectors, and in working with governments and industry to support the ambitious implementation of climate policy.

Before launching OEP, he played a key role in delivering the UK’s successful COP Presidency as Director of Strategy for COP26 at the UK Cabinet Office. Prior to that, he served as the Special Advisor on energy and climate change in the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy during the period that Britain became the first country in the G7 to legislate for Net Zero.

Of his new position, he said:

"I've seen firsthand the catalytic role that access to high quality international policy documents, datasets, and technical studies has in shaping the delivery of enabling policy. Climate Policy Radar sits at the heart of a growing movement to democratise climate policy data through AI, empowering global stakeholders  – from bureaucrats to civil society leaders  – to enhance policy outcomes, manage risks, and accelerate real impacts. I'm honoured to join their board in this exciting phase of their growth.”
